In Short

Calmoss is an alarm clock that focusses on peaceful waking up experiences instead of the harsh ones we are used to. The clock incorporates biomimicry in its design and its interaction to stimulate the peaceful feeling of nature. The display of time is visualized in the LED strips with one circle corresponding to the hours and one to the minutes. By turning the moss ball in the evening, the user would be able to set the time for the alarm to go off. When the alarm goes off in the morning, the sound of nature would slowly increase after which the user is stimulated to interact with the moss to move or stroke it to turn it off. This enhances a peaceful waking up experience where the senses are slowly introduced to being awake.
