In Short

The interest-based conversation tool is a validated visual aid that can help support conversations between expats and their teachers. The tool features a database of images, linked to several topics. Upon hovering the mouse over the pictures, expats would be able to see the name of an object (in Dutch) surrounded by related words. They can use this aid to help create a conversation around the topic of the image. Little games, also known as icebreakers, are featured on the right side of the tool. These offer the expats and the teachers ways to spark a conversation or have a little bit of fun during the lessons. This tool was developed for the Conversing with Confidence plan that LWL offers. During this plan, expats will be able to improve their conversation skills by talking to a native about their common interests.

The brand identity of LWL needed to be updated in order to better fit the target group and vision of the company. During my internship I proposed to do a rebrand in order to help achieve this goal. A full brand identity project has been executed with led to this new branding. The results of the brand identity were more than just logos, a new social media strategy was also developed to create more brand awareness.

Several wireframes were developed to get an initial idea of the website design for the platform. The goal of these wireframes was to create an attractive website that could be used for more trial-runs of the project.
